Managing a capital project is no easy task. It is often difficult to please all stakeholders. Colleagues, as well as contrarians, can become instant experts; and every now and then someone “has a connection” who can do it better, cheaper or faster.

Hiring an outside firm to help manage the process can sometimes lead to further frustrations.
