Senior Project Manager
Joe Lacy is Senior Project Manager at Macro Consultants. With more than 20 years of experience in construction, relocation and facilities management, Joe has earned a reputation for working tirelessly at all hours of the day to overcome any obstacle, and to deliver a successful project.
Joe joined Macro in 2007, and immediately began delivering value to some of Macro’s largest projects. These include the ground-up construction of Comcast’s new corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, and relocations for Ogilvy + Mather and Grey Global, both part of the WPP media conglomerate. On these projects, Joe focused on a combination of Construction Coordination, Post-Tenant Improvement, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) and Relocation Management.
Beginning his career as a move coordinator in the late 1980’s with Graebel Van Lines in Moorestown, New Jersey, Joe learned the nuances of move management. By the early 1990’s, Joe was responsible for many of BMG’s moves, including its relocation in 1993. As a result of his tenacious work on that project, Joe was later hired by BMG as a facilities manager, managing construction, decommissioning and furniture projects in facilities serving more than 1,000 employees, occupying 500,000 square feet of “class A” commercial space in New York City.
Joe thrives on large projects where the hectic pace might intimidate some with less experience, energy and passion. His keen eye for perfection and his drive to deliver complete satisfaction have quickly endeared him to his clients, who all agree Joe plays the pivotal role to help distinguish success from failure. Referred to as a catalyst and even guardian angel, Joe has the enviable knack of overcoming the unsolvable and the indisputable credentials to bring together parties that seem to otherwise share no common ground.
Joe is a graduate of Eastern College and holds a Bachelor Degree in Organizational Management. In May 2006, Joe earned an Excellence Award at the Mechanics Institute’s Project Management Program. He is currently working toward his LEED certification.
